Interfaces closely with the LNG Shipping Brokerage team and provides real-time support to customers
Analysing market information on the LNG shipping and cargo industry and working closely with brokers to drive successful trading / chartering strategy (e.g. vessel positions, trade info)
Owning the preparation of daily market reports for top management and clients
Developing expertise in the analytical practices used to provide strategic recommendations to clients including LNG shipping supply / demand models
Building, reviewing, updating economic and financial models and running sensitivities
Preparation of generic and tailored marketing materials
New and existing transaction modelling
Managing internal parties and the internal approval process for transactions
Poten & Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours.
5+ years experience in the global gas or shipping industries as a market analyst or economist
Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualifications / relevant work experience
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Presentation skills – able to deliver compelling and concise presentations
Strong work ethic and self-motivated
Good project management skills
High level of use proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Diligent, efficient and able to manage multiple conflicting deliverables including working under pressure
Comfortable in a technical environment
Fluency in English
