We need a Senior Manager, Product Communications to lead strategic organizational communication strategies for the Janssen Neuroscience team, as well as product communications for the schizophrenia Neuroscience U.S. business. In this role, you will report directly to the Business Unit Communications Leader with a dotted line into the Leader, Neuroscience Product Communications.
Develop and implement communication strategies/program in support of Neuroscience schizophrenia portfolio that align with brand business objectives; includes media analyses and outcomes metrics to measure business impact of public relations initiatives.
Partner hand-in-hand with marketing partners to develop and deliver integrated, breakthrough strategies and programming.
Shape our advocacy and policy strategy and execution in collaboration with advocacy and government affairs.
Build relationships with and act as liaison to online patient advocates.
Convene and connect with key business partners to foster alignment on key business actions.
Shape and influence business decisions and serve as trusted advisor to mid-level leaders, including marketing leadership.
Develop and curate content that is compelling, relevant and grounded in partner understanding and insights.
Manage public relations agency; includes managing public relations budgets.
Foster best practices and ensure insights are shared with others in the function.
Develop and execute organizational communication plan including senior leadership communication support, such as town hall meetings, as required
Partner with Neuroscience business leaders on internal communication strategy to drive strong employee engagement and alignment with Janssen Neuroscience business goals.
Management of consultants / temporary staff
Bachelor's degree required
Proven performer with 7+ years of experience managing healthcare public relations programs in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency
Direct health care / pharmaceutical / product experience required; relevant therapeutic area experience a plus
Proven track record of successful DTC public relations / communication, corporate communication, product approval and launch communication support and / or media relations achievements
Experience shaping and delivering public affairs strategies and programs is preferred
Experience in various social media platforms; development of social media planning and execution
Ability to develop successful working relationships with senior executives
Experience in crisis / issues management
Experience dealing with national and local lay, trade and social media
Experience in managing project budgets / schedules
Minimal / moderate level of local and domestic travel
