This position will serve as the Program Activities Coordinator for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County and will provide program coordination and support for Fort Drum Programs, to include programs and activities offered by: the Family Development Program, Relocation Readiness Program, Employment Readiness Program, Mobilization & Deployment/Army Volunteer Corps Program, Army Emergency Relief Program, Financial Readiness Program, and the Information & Referral Program on Fort Drum. This position will organize and coordinate activities and events relating to these identified programs as delegated; and will coordinate assigned aspects of class registrations, preparing class materials (creating class packets, organizing class materials, etc.); and/or reporting processes; providing other administrative assistance in the support of programming efforts as needed. This position will provide programming outreach efforts, both on and off post, including small weekly events for military families to distribute marketing information for upcoming classes, workshops, events and activities conducted through Army Community Services. Outreach will be conducted at housing complexes, the Urban Mission, restaurants, schools, libraries, etc. This position will conduct direct programming via social media efforts and will be responsible to assist in writing, design/layout of program flyers, newsletters, etc. This position will serve as an accessible resource to program staff and volunteers as appropriate, will utilize existing program resources and materials in program work. This position will assist in delivering and evaluating educational programs as defined.

This position is a full-time non-exempt position - 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $15.35. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave.
Associate's Degree or equivalent education (High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of transferrable program/functional experience).

Delivery - 10%
Utilize established program resources and materials in providing information and resources to program participants in established Fort Drum Programming.
Conduct weekly programs/gatherings to disseminate already-established marketing brochures and flyers, etc. for upcoming Army Community Services (ACS) events, activities and workshops.
Serve as a team member and cooperate with the entire Association and programming staff to achieve Association program delivery goals.
Direction - 5%
Assist Program Manager, Program Area Issue Leader and other program staff with non-complex administrative tasks in the planning of educational programs, including appropriate use and type of social media to disseminate information.
Assist Program Manager and Program Area Issue Leader with identifying, anticipating, recommending and planning for assigned program needs/supplies.
Provide administrative assistance in planning the direction of mass media efforts.
Management - 5%
Assist in solving problems and resolving conflicts that arise in the assigned programming areas in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
Provide routine non-complex administrative management of established educational program goals
Provide non-complex administrative tasks in guiding the implementation of communication strategies.
Coordination/Operation - 75%
Organize and coordinate program activities for assigned programs as delegated.
Coordinate weekly programs/gatherings for outreach efforts.
Coordinate all aspects of class/event registration, data entry and reporting requirements for assigned Fort Drum Programs as directed.
Assist with program evaluation to include: collecting program evaluations and needs assessment forms from program participants for assigned program areas as directed.
Coordinate, compile and organize existing program resources and program materials.
Under the direction of the Program Manager and/or Program Area Issue Leader, coordinate and assist with special projects and outreach efforts as instructed.
Effectively maintain existing professional relationships with other agencies, organizations and businesses that promote effective communication and facilitate continued programming efforts.
Provide administrative support for the coordination and implementation of multi-media efforts in the promotion of programming.
Draft communications, flyers, program brochures and correspondence for review by Program Manager and/or Program Area Issue Leader for eventual distribution as appropriate.
Professional Improvement and Other Duties as Assigned - 5%
In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes in programming and association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, working with other staff, general marketing of Extension programs and other duties as assigned.
