Where the Chemistry Happens...
Production Technician – 1805554- Freeport, TX
The Production Technician is responsible for conducting daily activities related to plant operations. This could include distillation, liquid / liquid extraction, fixed and fluid bed reactors, boilers, incinerators, compressors, turbines, and other related processes and equipment.
Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to
· Inside and outside operation of a chemical manufacturing unit including manual work with potentially hazardous materials, at high elevations, in confined spaces, and outdoors in all types of weather
· 12 hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
· Assuring standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high performance team-based organization
· Performing minor maintenance repairs including commissioning and decommissioning of all types of process and mechanical equipment
· Utilizing Microsoft Office software, Process Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and other computer software

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You...
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Successful candidate must be able to pass the BASF pre-employment test.
Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off, etc.).
Process Technology Degree or three (3) or more years operations work experience as a chemical manufacturing operator is preferred.
Previous military experience may be considered as years of experience.
Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team environment, be results oriented, dependable, and safety conscious.
Basic computer skills and a comfort level in working with computers are necessary.
