Currently, RG is looking to hire a Contracts Manager to support our internal Contracts Department. RG’s Contract Managers are trusted advisors to the company’s business units and play an integral role in each pursuit by assisting in building partnerships, preparing pricing and solicitation-specific documentation. Upon contract award, the Contract Manager manages the contract and any subcontracts through contract close-out. This cradle-to-grave approach to contract management, from initial pursuit to contracts close out, ensures the RG contract team understands the RG business units’ requirements and plays a vital role in assisting RG’s business units achieve their strategic goals.
A Day In the Life:
To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with or responsible for oversight and coordination of all contract administrative activity, teaming activity, pricing activity and total business support related to one or more business units. The Contracts Manager will draft, negotiate and execute contracts and subcontracts, organize and track contract-related documents, funding, requirements, and deliverables; responding to correspondence from external and internal stakeholders; managing spreadsheets and establish and modify Costpoint entries. In this position the individual must demonstrate an ability to proactively manage a diverse customer base and provide recommendations to team management regarding individual goals for the contracts staff supporting each business unit as well as maintain a positive working relationship with both the internal customer and external client staff. Representative duties and responsibilities include:
Overall management responsibility for the contract and business support activities for the assigned business unit(s)
Reviewing and executing contracts and contract modifications
Contract-related problem and dispute resolution
Interpretation of regulations and requirements, applying sound business judgment
Identifying process improvement opportunities
Task management of other department staff for special projects
Drafting, modifying and executing subcontracts
Costpoint set up for contract awards and contract modifications
Spreadsheet development and management
Evaluating solicitation for compliance requirements and participating in proposal development, drafting cost volumes and drafting pricing estimates
Submission of RG solicitations, quotes and bids
Mentoring junior team members

A Specialist is an exempt business professional who performs a wide range of routine clerical, support, or administrative tasks while providing support to employees and/or vendors for business operations. Specialists may also provide subject matter expertise within a specialized function.
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
BA/BS Business or related degree
5+ years of experience in government contract administration, negotiation, cost estimating and proposal preparation
A self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and in teams
Experience and proven ability in:
Drafting and negotiating government, commercial contracts and subcontracts
Reviewing Government solicitations to identify and mitigate risks
Drafting Pricing Volumes to include assisting technical team with developing strategy, leading and participating in team reviews from bid/no-bid decision through submission, negotiations, and award
Excelling in fast paced environments with the ability to successfully execute multiple concurrent activities
Working knowledge of all types of government regulation, the FAR, DFARS and contract law
Experience in managing all types of government contracts and GSA Schedules
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (strong skills in Word and Excel)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including business writing
Strong problem solving, analytical and math skills
Current security clearance or ability to obtain

Blanket Purchase Agreements and Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contracts in excess of $10M
Expertise with Deltek Costpoint
Experience negotiating contract disputes
Experience advising senior corporate management
Experience in supervising or managing staff
Candidates meeting the posted minimum qualifications will be contacted by RG’s Recruiting Department. After an initial assessment, qualified candidates will be referred for a phone interview with RG’s Senior Contract Managers. Successful candidates will be invited to RG headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, to interview with RG’s Executive Vice President for Contracts. As part of this final interview, qualified candidates will be given several scenarios from which they will be asked to provide business writing samples and build a spreadsheet based on specific scenarios.
