Position supports and facilitates all aspects of the credentials verification process for provider on-boarding, initial enrollment, re-credentialing and government enrollment and revalidation.� Includes credentials verification of allied health providers as required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for initial and continuous verification of credentials of WU providers and health care/allied health providers for managed care contracts.� Accountable for ensuring ongoing state and federal licensure, compliance with NCQA standards and managed care provider contracts and agreements.
Accountable for the enrollment and revalidation of providers in Medicare and Medicaid, as applicable.
Ensures maintenance of current and accurate data/information in system credentials database.� Appropriately utilizes the database to produce reports, lists, rosters, etc.
Maintains the permanent credentials files on all applicable WU, managed care and allied health providers.� Assures accuracy of records and maintains a state of readiness at all time for review/audit by delegated entities, licensing and accrediting agencies.
Participates in training and development of personnel on credentialing verification issues.
Assures the confidentiality and integrity of all aspects of the credentialing verification program and process.
Equivalent of high school diploma with 3 – 5 years’ experience is required.
Prefer past medical staff office experience.
Current knowledge of the various aspects of provider enrollment for managed care plans and government entities, provider on-boarding and credentialing certifications.
The hiring range for this position is $18.45 - $23.06 per hour.
