Rutgers University-Camden is seeking an administrative assistant for the Nursing Baccalaureate Programs. Under the direction of the Divisional Chair, the administrative assistant provides a wide variety of secretarial, administrative, and data driven support to ensure high quality services. The individual exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to the programs supported, as well as the School of Nursing-Camden.
-Provides secretarial assistance to Divisional Chair and three (3) Program Directors -Maintains and updates spreadsheets and files related to student outcomes, progression, committee meetings, record keeping, and other program information. -Contributes effectively to and supports an environment that enhances the goals and objectives of the Baccalaureate Nursing programs within the School of Nursing-Camden. -Maintains outlook calendars for Chair and Directors, schedules appointments, communicates campus updates in a timely fashion. -Assists with processes related to student recruitment, admission, and program completion processes in cooperation with the School of Nursing Camden and campus support services -Serves as a liaison between supported programs, School of Nursing-Camden, and other departments/divisions within the university -Assists with community service activities and initiatives -Understands and adheres to national standards and expectations related to reporting and notification of annual reports due to governing agencies. -Assists with requisite accreditation/program quality evaluation activities -Coordinates recruitment events with the ONSS and collaborates with marketing teams, nursing students and faculty on items such as brochures, videos, podcasts, etc. - Attends to daily operations needed by the Chair - Assists with baccalaureate program events such as commencement, pinning and awards ceremonies. -Additional administrative duties may be assigned as needed
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required Knowledge/Skills -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) -Function well in a team environment
-Knowledge of online learning administrative support activities -Ability to communicate with students, staff, and faculty in a professional manner at all times -Experience in supporting higher educational and professional development programs -Knowledge of university academic and professional development processes/standards -Knowledge and experience with quality improvement processes -Familiarity with Adobe Products and Survey Software (e.g., Qualtrics) -Familiarity with learning platforms (Canvas, etc.)
Standard office equipment including but not limited to compters, printers, copiers, fax machines, office phones, etc.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position requires standing, sitting, walking, in performance of duties; must be able to talk and hear clearly on the phone for communication purposes; Lifting up to 25 pounds
Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and within departmental budgets.
