Program Manager, Care Delivery
Coordinate efforts to support neurologists in new and emerging payment systems. Support priorities of the AAN's Medical Economics & Management Committee and guide the AAN’s value-based care efforts. Position the Academy as a leader and indispensable resource to members in adapting to the changing practice environment.
The successful candidate will have a health care background and familiarity with physician reimbursement systems and care delivery models. Demonstrated skills in creative problem solving and managing multiple projects, independent decision making, and strong communication (verbal and written) skills. Proven ability to work independently and excellent organizational skills. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are necessary. Marketing/promotion skills are a plus.
Identify member need and coordinate development of tools and resources to support members in Medicare quality payment programs and other value-based payment programs to help neurologists and their staff thrive in the changing practice environment. Develop communications and provide education about the programs.
Serve as the subject matter expert on the MACRA/Quality Payment Program requirements and implementation strategies, and respond to member inquiries concerning the program, requiring substantial knowledge of practice issues and government regulations.
Lead annual updates to value-based care environmental scan.
Monitor emerging care delivery systems (e.g., accountable care organizations, medical homes) and educate AAN members about opportunities for their practices to redesign the delivery of neurologic care and demonstrate the value of neurologists in APMs to help members be successful in value-based payment mod
Lead the strategic development of resources to support team-based care in neurologic care
Develop relationships with external partners to pursue opportunities to collaborate on value-based care initiatives.
Collaborate with AAN Reimbursement and Coding staff to formulate valuation strategies for alternative payment models.
Actively contribute to cross-functional staff efforts driving AAN activities around health care payment and delivery reform.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience: 3-5 years of related professional experience
Skills: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, Strong organizational skills, Strong attention to detail, Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Strong customer service skills, Ability to work on projects under only general supervision
