The Fariborz Maseeh Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Portland State University invites applications for a position in Statistics at the level of Assistant Professor.
A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related area is required by September 15, 2019. We are seeking highly qualified candidates who have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching in statistics. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with researchers in other departments and institutes with preference given to those that would collaborate with Social Scientists.
Applicants should have a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. Further expectations include taking an active role in matters of departmental governance and sharing in the leadership of statistics research and education at PSU.
