The Payment Posting Supervisor provides direct supervision to Patient Billing and Collection staff, analyzing and resolving problems, interpreting policies and demonstrating the highest subject matter knowledge. Ensures accountability of compliance with departmental goals and objectives are met for payments for HB and PB revenue cycle collections.REQUIRED--Demonstrated supervisory, organizational, and customer service experience while effectively supervising and prioritizing staff activities, and managing the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with billing and collections operations --Billing / Payment Posting background --Solid knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to evaluate and document human resources matters and performance --Strong Technical Skills including Microsoft Office and Epic (preferred) Billing System with special emphasis on cash posting / Cash Management module --Strong verbal and written communication skills --Knowledge of distribution and retrieval of monies how to retrieve the required documents for finalizing transactions --Experience analyzing and interpret various types of reimbursement explanation of benefits and remittance advice for their relevancy to established UCDHS contracts and fee schedules --Experience focusing on details, especially as pertains to reconciliation cash deposited and posted as well as to procedural correctness in the posting process --Knowledge of medical billing/reimbursement requirements and procedures, including government programs, private third-party insurance, and private individualsSPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
