1. Direct outreach, communication, and coordination with relevant policy-making bodies at the federal, state, and local level.2. Facilitate productive interactions among the center's stakeholders, including the Faculty Director, affiliated faculty, the internal faculty advisory committee, the external advisory board, donors, and the Yale administration.3. Provide infrastructure for the research programs of the center via budgeting, grant writing, and supervising staff. 4. Develop and organize conferences, events, and other programming designed to foster the dissemination and discussion of research findings and their implications, hosting both visiting researchers and high-level policy makers.5. Lead fundraising efforts, donor relations, and stewardship reporting, in conjunction with the Faculty Director and relevant stakeholders.6. Represent Yale and the center to the broader academic and policy community.7. Establish and implement long-range and short-range goals consistent with funding agreements and University goals and objectives.8. Participate in the teaching and research programs of the center as appropriate. 9. Direct a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees.10. Perform other duties related to the operations of the center.
Preferred Education: PhD in Economics preferred. Experience in implementing (and/or advocating for) research-based economic policy at the federal or state level is strongly desired. Supervisory experience is also preferred.
