Job Description Summary:
Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, developing curriculum courses, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. Under general supervision, this individual will prepare and teach aerostructure manufacturing courses within the established program. The adjunct faculty member must be able instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in a laboratory environment and may be required to teach day, evening and/or weekend hours. Education Required: -Associate's degree in a field related to aviation or advanced manufacturing from a regionally accredited institution Education Preferred: -Bachelor's degree or higher in a field related to aviation, advanced manufacturing, or engineering from a regionally accredited institution Experience Required: -3 years of relevant industry experience and/or certification gained from military service Experience Preferred: -5 years of relevant industry experience and/or certification gained through military service
