The Americas Equities business is seeking an experienced professional for a key role within a business-led Data Governance Delivery Team. This role pertains to a variety of front-office data related initiatives including, but not limited to, Access, Entitlements, Disclosures, Documentation, Agreements, Data Management, Segmentation and Suitability. It also will require coordination with, and representation of, Equities business related data interests across multiple functions and projects. This front-office position, will report to the Equities Americas Data Governance leader.
Collaborate Data Governance initiatives across Business, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Business Controls and Supervision to institute Data Governance best practices
Prepare and manage meeting materials for Data Governance monthly forums and ad hoc meetings
Document and drive business requirements pertaining to data governance; controls
Drive and track multiple complex initiatives; projects within a large institution
Coordinate and document initiatives including interdependencies
Develop high-quality data governance documentation including Standard Operating Procedures and policy updates
Gain an understanding of data related initiatives and determine business impact; value
Educate client facing and operational-related staff regarding the importance and benefits of a robust Data Governance program
Assist the Americas Equities become a robust "data-driven" business
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
Domain knowledge of the buy-side and sell-side Equities business
Superior Executive level presentation and meeting management skills
Experience implementing data governance and controls
Demonstrate results in managing multi-phase programs
Inquisitive mindset and ability to determine and resolve root issues
Works effectively with distributed teams (virtual teams, shared resources)
Self-motivator - able to demonstrate and follow-through
