Working Title: Clinical Assistant Professor - Physical Education Pedagogy

This position is a full-time, nine-month, instructional academic staff position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include teaching primarily in the area of physical education, advising, and service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required Qualifications 1) Master’s degree in physical education 2) Teacher certification in physical education 3) A minimum of three years teaching experience in a K-12 setting 4) Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff 5) Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment 6) Demonstrated ability to organize large group activities (e.g., conferences, student travel, fund raising events, etc.) 7) Demonstrated professional involvement (e.g., attending and/or presenting at professional conferences, professional membership(s) and involvement)
Preferred Qualifications 1) Current teacher licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin 2) Experience working with pre-service teachers 3) Experience teaching classes, advising and mentoring students at the University level 4) Demonstrated ability to teach required classes, PE pedagogy, field experience, PE content courses
