This position will strengthen UNC Charlotte’s overall research enterprise through the exposure and development of relationships with federal agencies and within the Department of Defense (DoD) and defense related commercial businesses; provide a direct liaison with the University of North Carolina System Office on behalf of UNC Charlotte with respect to defense-related initiatives; Possess a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and be able to maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (TS/SCI) which will assist in UNC Charlotte’s participation in Federal Research and Development (R&D) initiatives and in development of SCIF initiatives. Strengthen UNC Charlotte’s overall research enterprise through exposure to Department of Defense and federal agency research organizations; aid in development of federal research relationships and projects; liaise with the UNC System Office on behalf of UNC Charlotte with respect to defense-related initiatives; Possess a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and be able to maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance. Manage SCIF initiatives for UNC Charlotte.
Minimum Experience / Education:
BS Degree with specific Military and National Security/Intelligence experience; Contracting Program Officer certification;
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
15+ years of active Military and National Security/Intelligence Experience; 7+ years experience with federal research community; 7+ years liaison experience with international research related partners
