Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for conducting participant outreach, recruitment/retention, and biological sample collection procedures including sample processing for long term storage based on research protocol.
Screen patients who are potentially eligible for the study Approach eligible patients and discuss aims and goals of the study Conduct informed consent
Coordinate maternal biological sample collection with medical staff Conduct participant interview Enter participant information accurately and efficiently
Transfer consent and study documentation to the appropriate study participant folder Conduct follow-up calls with participants to ensure accurate data collection and assist with questionnaire data collection
Comply with scheduled hours for birth sample collections including a 12 hour day shift and a 12 hour overnight shift Collect and process birth samples per biological sample collection protocol in a timely way
Transmit study related information to study staff, medical staff, Management, and participants in a timely way Conduct data analyses based on specified protocol Conduct anthropometric measures on mother-child pairs
Collect and process biological samples including stool form child Document all study related activities accurately and promptly Schedule study related activities
Attend and participate in scheduled study meetings Train new study staff on all study related procedures
Maintain IRB documentation Write, revise and maintain study related documents Translate study related documents, where able
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a B.S. or B.A. in Biomedical or Physical Sciences. A minimum commitment of two years is required and placement in position may not exceed three years. Must speak Cantonese, Mandarin, French, Haitian Creole or Yiddish.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
