Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Build and maintain quantitative cash flow models used in the pricing and structuring of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) originated by the Commercial Real Estate desk. Build quantitative models as part of the risk management framework used for calculating and reporting the daily credit and interest rate risks of the desk. Enhance the analysis platform used for bidding on new conduit pool loans and large Single Asset Single Borrower (SASB) Commercial Mortgage loans. Build and improve the technological infrastructure to automate daily activities including marking existing positions, calculating P&L, and risk reporting. Build models and software infrastructure to support divisional regulatory reporting for CCAR, DFAST & Return on attributed equity in the CMBS space. Interface with traders and compliance officers to understand trading issues and regulatory requirements, partner in developing solutions, translate requirements to technical designs, and present product updates within the Credit or Mortgage trading space.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Two (2) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: developing high-performance, multi-threaded trading systems using object-oriented programming languages, such as C++ or Java, to support the Credit or Mortgage trading space; organizing, querying, and manipulating large data sets using SQL; valuating credit derivatives, including CDS, CDX, and CDX Index options; valuating corporate bonds and bank loans; and covering Credit Derivatives or Mortgage Trading technologies.
