Summary Reporting to the Associate Secretary to the University in the Office of the Governing Boards, provides broad office support for work associated with Harvard's two governing boards - the Board of Overseers and the Corporation - and the Office of the Secretary.
Processes financial transactions including various bills, honoraria for board and committee members.
Reviews and codes purchase card and corporate card activity and maintains all related financial files.
Prepares travel reimbursements in a timely matter.
Serves as the primary back-up for reception duties, answering telephones and greeting visitors.
Provides research, administrative, clerical and scheduling support for the Secretary and two Associate Secretaries.
Prepares and distributes confidential board meeting materials.
Manages and organizes paper and electronic files for indexing and archiving and updates office databases.
Provides assistance with special projects and performs related job duties as required.
Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties.
Gathers and maintains data for and assists in preparing reports, often using a variety of computer software.
Prepares and maintains unit's records (such as financial, personnel, administrative).
Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the unit.
May compose, proofread, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other materials using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.
Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
This is a term appointment scheduled to end on August 30, 2019.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
College background preferred with three or more years of related experience. Education beyond high school may count toward experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and database management software required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.
