The position provides financial management, budgeting development and support to the Continuing Education office staff, associated programs and activities, and special events. The position also is responsible for the general administrative support for the CE department. This position reports directly to the Director of Continuing Education (CE).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree AND two years of relevant experience
Knowledge of accounting functions, budgeting and financial reporting
Very strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and use good judgment
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Work, Excel, Power Point)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent customer service skills Preferred:
BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
Experience with fund accounting
Functional knowledge of University of Wisconsin financial, budgeting and contracting policies
Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with accuracy
Ability to understand web-based software functions
Ability to work with internal and external audiences
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and administrative staff
