Monitors, develops, executes, and facilitates compliance program with federal, state, and Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) regulatory and governing standards, including but not limited to laws, regulations, statutes, codes, policies, procedures, rules, and directives, as well as compliance own internal and external policies and procedures with an emphasis on Student Financial Aid.
Develops, establishes, and maintains an effective and broad-based financial aid compliance program based upon ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with all applicable laws, policies, rules, and procedures. Monitors financial aid activities throughout the university to provide assurances that activities are working to prevent and/or detect non-compliant and unethical activities. Conducts reviews and spot checks to ensure financial aid processes, controls and operational results comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Monitors and updates comprehensive financial aid compliance policies and procedures to ensure a strong internal control system that is current with federal and state requirements.
Conducts various communications and trainings to educate the campus community on financial aid related laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Serves as the audit liaison for all internal and external audits, reviews, and investigations related to student financial aid activities.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in applicable field
Five years of related experience in compliance programs and/or activities.

Five years of experience in a higher education operational financial aid position and/or auditing higher education financial aid programs.
Licensing/Professional certification: Financial Aid Certification through NASFAA
