As an Analyst working in Global Markets, you will contribute to research that guides our decisions and provides market and security-specific intelligence to our clients.
The Equity Research team offers in-depth analytical frameworks, proprietary methodologies and unique data sources that help clients meet their investment goals. Leveraging the bank's global resources, the Equity Research teams analyze nearly 2,500 companies worldwide. Their research is augmented by the macro-economic and strategy teams, which add thematic insights from a global perspective.
The position will focus on providing equity research and investment ideas to our asset management and institutional client base. You will work closely with internal sales, sales trading and trading teams. Duties would include:
Lead coverage of the EMEA Steel sector
Analysis of key macro and micro trends affecting the Steel sector.
Integrating closely with the EMEA Mining research team, including joint marketing and joint publications where appropriate
Understanding and analysing company results
Financial modeling and analysis
Monitoring of news flow and updating models
Formulate and present thematic and stock-specific research which will have a direct impact on investment decisions and outcomes
Analyse and present data from various sources to draw investment conclusions
Present investment ideas to key clients of the Firm
Support other CS businesses globally by providing insight into trends affecting the industry, its customers and the wider economy
You Offer Requirements:
Proven experience and track record of success as a research analyst with experience covering the Steel sector
Extensive client marketing experience
A willingness to work closely with the EMEA Mining team
Minimum degree qualified or equivalent, ACA or CFA preferable
You should have excellent mathematical and financial modeling skills
Excellent presentation and written and verbal interpersonal skills
This role will require ongoing certification under the Certification Regime.
