We are seeking a Research Services Analyst, based in London, tosupport all aspects as they relate to Wellington Management's Research Services programme. The department specifically manages our relationships and engagement with the sell side and research providers. Supported by guidance within the department, the individual will play a key role towards the objective of providing best of breed research services solutions in a cost efficient manner.They will help support the research services team globally and help manage the full lifecycle of research including procurement, negotiation of services, due diligence, evaluation and relationship management.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creation and maintenance of management statistics and reporting around the function
Monitoring and reporting of relevant regulation to make sure our research services program is compliant
Assistance with the build out of a database of our best providers by sector and country across asset class
Managing internal and external queries in regards from our partners and providing timely and accurate responses through a variety of mediums
Management and oversight of sell side consumption data and assistance in building our requirements around it
Participate in the build and maintenance of our technology solutions with the aim to create a long term sustainable strategy around it across research services, market data and corporate access
Hands-on participation with all phases of broker evaluation process
In time possible day to day relationship management of a subset of our smaller broker relationships
Ad-hoc support with our corporate access efforts where needed
The successful candidate for this position is likely to:
Have a strong desire to help investment teams deliver excellent performance for our clients by understanding the needs of our various investment teams. The individual must be solutions orientated and trustworthy
Have strong communication skills with the ability to integrate multiple viewpoints and negotiate with internal and external parties
Be flexible to work both independently and to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple projects simultaneously
Be collaborative and thrive in a problem solving environment
Strong excel and database skills are a must
Be a self-starter who is able to be entrepreneurial where needed
Have strong academic credentials: an advanced degree or language skills would be viewed as additive
