Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Orlando Health to conduct the search for the Chief Nursing Officer of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital (DPH). Reporting to the DPH President, this role offers the opportunity to join a premier, full-service medical/surgical facility part of an exceptional health system.
Dr. P. Phillips Hospital (DPH), formerly Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital, is a 237 bed, full-service medical/surgical facility comprised of 1,600+ team members conducting 7,500 surgeries, and a very busy emergency department with approximately 84,000 visits this past year. DPH serves the residents of Southwest Orange County and Orlando’s growing tourist population. The facility is state-of-the-art with a retreat setting and an architectural blend similar to a resort hotel. Home to the Cynthia C. and William E. Perry Pavilion, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital has the unique mission of meeting the needs of travelers from around the country and the world, and the Perry Pavilion provides comfortable and overnight on-site lodging for the family members of patients outside the Orlando area. In addition to a highly qualified team of nurses, support staff and physicians, DPH is equipped with the latest technology in diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular catheterization and angiography.
This role provides leadership and oversight to all patient care provided within DPH by planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating patient care and unit activities to deliver high quality patient care and meet all accreditation and licensure requirements. The CNO is responsible for the integration of all clinical activities for the organization supporting the mission of DPH. The CNO serves as a member of the senior executive leadership of the organization and participates in the Governing Body. In addition to ensuring positive operational, financial and clinical performance, the CNO is expected to reinforce DPH's performance goals relative to patient satisfaction, clinical quality, patient safety, employee engagement and physician relations.
Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in health care, with management experience in acute care services for adults. The ideal candidate must also have demonstrated in-depth experience in managing in clinical operations. We seek candidates who possess superior relationship and team-building skills, and bring a collaborative approach to problem-solving, program-building and process improvement.
A Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field and a Master’s degree in nursing or a related field is required. One of the degrees must be in Nursing.
