The Manager of Enrollment plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless and authentic transition from 8th grade to Chicago Tech. Reporting to the Principal, this person is primarily responsible for ensuring that we recruit and enroll at least 120 freshmen annually. In collaboration with the ChiTech staff and by working with students, families, and elementary counselors, the Manager of Enrollment will craft and execute a recruitment strategy that aligns with the mission and vision of ChiTech. Successful candidates are outgoing, results-oriented, organized, and comfortable speaking with families. They must also passionately believe in the value of a ChiTech education and have the ability to enthusiastically share that vision and belief with others.
During peak recruitment times, this position will require some evening and weekend hours.
Recruitment and Enrollment:
Design, plan, and execute all recruitment activities.
Maintain accurate recruitment, retentions and admissions records and reports.
Manage a team of student ambassadors who work to foster relationships with prospective families.
Oversee the organization and coordination of all recruitment events including elementary school fairs, classroom presentations, Open Houses, shadow day visits, Lottery events, etc.
Identify and attend community events throughout Chicago.
Engage students and families via phone and email as needed to ensure student connection and enrollment at ChiTech.
Compile and report recruitment marketing and enrollment data to the school leadership team regularly.
Attract new students and families by building relationships with new communities and schools.
Ensure student matriculation by frequent communication and marketing strategy.
Marketing and Communications:
Effectively communicating the school’s numerous successes to internal and external markets
Serving as an "Ambassador" for the school and promoting the school’s mission, vision, and programs.
Plan printed collateral for school visits.
Actively promote ChiTech via social media platforms.
Engage with school leadership and staff to ensure alignment of mission/vision, marketing efforts, and actual student experience.
Support ChiTech staff by providing support for student experiences, internships and partnership events.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred
Familiarity with GoCPS process preferred
Training in/familiarity with the tech industry and/or project-based learning preferred
Work Related Experience:
3-5 years of work experience in a similar field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to connect with potential students and families
Knowledge of the learning profiles of students including ESL students
Experience managing a database or CRM system
A track record of delivering success in a marketing related setting
Knowledge of Chicago elementary school landscape preferred
Thorough understanding of traditional and emerging marketing & communication channels
Outstanding written and verbal communication and diplomacy skills
Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
A solutions-orientated and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Budget management skills
Ability to maintain/update websites for recruitment, GoCPS applications, and social media platform
Reliable transportation and the ability to lift 50 lbs
Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Familiarity with Chicago Public Schools preferred
