Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital (SPCH) is currently seeking a Vice President of Patient Care Services. This position serves on the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for leading and implementing health system and hospital strategic goals as well as setting expectations for nursing practice for the organization. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the operational, financial, personnel and other administrative activities of patient care services.
Samaritan Health Services is a not-for-profit regional health system that brings together community hospitals, physician clinics and health insurance plans to serve more than 250,000 residents of Oregon’s Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties. Samaritan is governed by a board, which includes community members, physicians and hospital leaders.
SPCH, located in Newport, Oregon, is a community-based 25-bed critical access hospital, which serves residents and tourists of Depoe Bay, Newport, Toledo, Waldport and Yachats.
Nestled between the Coast Range and the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean, Newport boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery on the central Oregon Coast with vast stretches of rugged cliffs, lush vegetation and sandy beaches. The temperate costal climate allows for a variety of activities year-round, including hiking, whale watching, golfing, shopping, deep-sea fishing and surfing. As the largest city in Lincoln County with 10,000 residents, Newport hosts a variety of cultural events through an active performing arts center and museums rich in history.
Some of the services offered at SPCH include orthopedics, general surgery, diagnostic imaging, sleep diagnostics and physical rehabilitation. Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required prior to position start date.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or Business preferred.
Five (5) years progressive RN leadership experience required.
Experience or training in concepts and principles of administration, organizational development, change theory, research, leadership and systems theory required.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
