Advertised Job Summary:
The assistant director for Student Government leadership serves as the primary adviser for all branches of Student Government and facilitates and develops programming and events that provide student leaders with personal and professional support. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Student Life and will work continuously with University leaders in a variety of campus offices.
Primary responsibilities include:
Provide ongoing leadership training and education for all branches of Student Government.
Assist leaders in identifying the purpose and goals of the organization.
Provide direction and support to the elected leadership in budget development and expenditure protocol for improved effectiveness and efficiencies.
Coordinate and manage student government special events with various constituents and administrators.
Attend and advise student leaders during programs and projects.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, or bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience.
This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
