Business · Advise on escalated matters relating to product or client risk · Proactively identify product and client risks and recommend mitigation strategies · Support and perform analysis of impact of financial crime related regulatory matters on the relevants business area and its operations. · Support communication of key changes (to laws, rules, regulations) in region/Germany, in coordination with group communications. · Keep track of and provide advice to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and policies related to FCC. Processes · Support provision of governance and oversight over the implementation of all FCC-related policies and procedures in Germany to ensure compliance with such policies and procedures. · Support completion of the local FCC Risk Assessment (GRA), Product Risk Assessment and Obligations register · Specifically execute reviews of product risks and controls People and Talent · Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm. · Collaborate with training teams to input to training curriculum to support closing of capability gaps. · Assist in preparation and provision of training Risk Management · Understand technical aspects of systems relevant to Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Client Risk Assessments, Name and Transaction Screening, AML Monitoring and Case Management, ABC. · Apply Entity, Group and FCC policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks. · Analyse significant financial crime risk events (e.g. Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), non-compliant transactions, production orders) · Identify financial crime risk indicators through various internal/external sources that impact SCB and its clients. · Conduct root cause analysis on the control/other failures to ensure lessons are learned across the bank. · Provide intelligence (to internal forums) on specific clients, client-types and emerging risk typologies. · Anticipate horizon risks in the area of financial crime that may have a significant impact on the Group and develop effective strategies to mitigate such horizon risks.
Our Ideal Candidate Relevant experience with experience of general Financial Crime Compliance (fraud / sanctions / anti money laundering/ ABC) or Compliance environment Professionally qualified - Graduate or Post Graduate in a business or law discipline Experience with local regulatory environment - focus on financial crime regulations Experience in Financial Crime Risk / Financial Crime Intelligence
