Under the general supervision of the Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, the Program Manager is responsible for convening and managing the Orange County Veteran & Military Family Collaborative (OCVMFC) alongside the Executive Board to create cooperation and synergy amongst the non-profits serving the veteran communities.The Program Manager will develop, plan and initiate the Veteran Talent Reintegration Conference Series (VTRCS). They will convene and chair a committee(s) to assist in the content development of the Conferences Series that will include campus partners, staff/faculty, students, alumni and community non-profit members and company representatives.The Program Manager's - central mission will be targeted and strategic outreaching to veterans in Orange County to ascertain their specific needs in a broad range of categories, including but not limited to mental health, housing, education, healthcare and career, in order to design and plan the collaborative efforts of the OCVMFC & VTRCS.The Program Manager will provide OCVMFC direction as well as administrative support to include communication to membership and working groups and assistance to the OCVMFC Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary on membership standards, trends in veteran needs, non-profit organizational and board evaluation and development, organizational collaboration techniques and vehicles and events/meetings as necessary.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
