JOBSUMMARY â Windows System Admin: Manages systems and infrastructure componentsfor mission-critical computing environments under occasional guidance. Providessupport services for systems administration, networking, performance tuning,monitoring and capacity planning while adhering to enterprise ITIL process andprocedures. Builds infrastructure to support business environment. Enforcespolicies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of thesystem and ensures the system meets availability and disaster recovery requirements.Ability to solve medium to complex problems.
Administers and manages Windows systems of moderate to medium complexity - all aspects of planning, set-up, deployment, updates and maintenance.
Manages VMware vSphere, Microsoft System Center Configuration and Hyper-V environments
Ensures adherence to relevant security policies and regulatory governances.
Mitigates hardware/software issues, performance bottlenecks and overall system health concerns
Provides technical guidance to Vanderbilt community
Supports and implements business computing environments.

Successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of Windowsbased servers, troubleshooting support issues, installing new hardware andsoftware, and supporting several ancillary systems. Candidate will possessexcellent communication skills and be able to work under limited supervision.This support will be on premise and cloud based implementation. Assist indeveloping strategies for cloud based implementation and hybrid solutions.
