Colgate University, an NCAA DI member of the Patriot League and ECAC Hockey, invites applicants for the Compliance Assistant position within its Athletics Department. This position reports to the Associate Athletics Director, Compliance and is expected to adhere to all NCAA, Patriot League, ECAC Hockey, and Colgate University rules and regulations. Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: •Review and monitoring of practice logs, participation reports and other regulations relating to playing and practice seasons; •Review and monitoring of recruiting activities, including phone calls, contacts, and evaluations, as well as camps/clinics and local sports clubs; •Assisting in the management and auditing of the student-athlete employment registration program and complimentary admissions; •Monitoring and communicating information related to the NCAA Eligibility Center; •Assisting the Associate AD, Compliance as needed in preparing institutional, conference and NCAA reports as well as waiver/violation submissions; •Creating and implementing educational initiatives and programs for internal and external constituents; •Assist with administrative work; and •Other duties as assigned.
This position will also include limited duties assisting with Colgate Athletics event operations. Additional duties will include: •Serving as part of the event management staff and as the event manager for various Colgate home games and events; •Assist in the set-up/break-down of Colgate home games/events; and •Assist in event manager duties for all Colgate home football games.
