Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time Administrative Assistant for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description:
The temporary Administrative Assistant position provides essential administrative support for the department. The department establishes policies for the governance of the University and is responsible for general oversight of the management of the institution.
This position will assist with the coordination of the March and June 2019 events.
Specific responsibilities include:
Assisting with the planning, preparation, and execution of upcoming Board of Trustees meetings and events;
Assisting with the physical preparation and distribution of meeting materials and large mailings;
Assisting with Full Board, committee, and dinner material creation and verification;
Other related duties as assigned.
Required skills/qualifications include:
Successful completion of a full four-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree;
2 years program/project administration or other relevant experience, preferably at an academic institution;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a sense of service and tact with diverse populations including Trustees and University leadership;
Ability to work calmly and effectively in high pressure situations;
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a high attention to detail while managing highly confidential information.
Highly experienced MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
