The Architectural Designer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and/or Project Architect in the production and development of accurate architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules. Candidates for this position must be capable of organizing time and tasks for on-time completion of project submittals. The Architectural Designer’s duties also include collecting in field data and performing field measuring surveys of existing buildings, gathering information on building products for integrating into the design, and ensuring design compliance with applicable governing codes and criteria.
Potential candidates should have a solid background in building design and construction practices. Experience should include design and detailing of institutional, health care and/or public facilities. Design experience using Revit and AutoCad software is required. Travel – including overseas – may be required for project field investigations and project conferences.
The Architectural Designer position requires a person that is a team player and can assist in multi-discipline project coordination. Potential candidates should have a professional work ethic and the ability to interface with engineers, clients and specialty consultants on a daily basis.
Many of the projects will be buildings constructed or renovated on US Federal Government property. The Candidate must be able to obtain a US Passport and be able to pass US Federal Government required background checks. Requires a minimum of 5 years related architectural design and detailing experience in the A/E industry.
The preferred Candidate will have experience in the design of health care and/or government buildings and have a history of conducting on-site field work investigations and attending client meetings.
Must have excellent problem solving and communications skills.
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
