The School of Occupational Therapy at Pacific University invites applications for an 11-month, full-time, tenure track faculty position in our established entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. Applicants who qualify for the academic rank of associate or full professor will be given preferential consideration. The position is available beginning in the 2019/2020 academic year. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities: (a) Candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ACOTE capstone requirements in standards section D.1.0, including but not limited to: (1) coordination of student capstone projects and placements, (2) securing and maintenance of site contracts and student evaluations, (3) preparation of students for the capstone experience, (4) coordination with faculty capstone advisors, and (5) direct advisement of a portion of capstone student projects. (b) Candidate will be expected to teach online and hybrid capstone preparation classes, and may co-teach additional classes within the individual’s subject matter expertise. (c) Additional responsibilities include scholarship activities, student advisement, curriculum development and evaluation, service at all levels of the University, and service to the profession. Specific assignments are dependent upon program needs. (d) Candidates must be committed to transformational student-centered education and community practice, as well as working supportively with faculty and staff in the School, College, and University.

Occupational therapist with NBCOT certification
Eligibility for licensure in Oregon
Doctorate degree in occupational therapy or a related field from an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience (>5 preferred) as an occupational therapist
Online education experience
Demonstrated clinical and disciplinary expertise
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Strong community networking skills
Solid knowledge of ACOTE standards, particularly section D.1.0
Prior experience supervising fieldwork and/or doctoral capstone students in the community
Successful completion of federal background check
PhD or equivalent degree
Prior Academic Fieldwork or Capstone Coordinator experience
Previous teaching, research, and service experience
Supervision of graduate students
History of scholarly achievement
