JobDescription : The Role: Chief of Staff, Public Affairs
The Location: Washington, DC or New York, NY

We are looking for an experienced Chief of Staff to join Public Affairs department, team dedicated to raising the profile and maintaining the reputation of S&P Global worldwide.
Keeps project calendars and holds team accountable for deadlines
Plan and manage Leadership and management team meetings, workshops, and offsites
Prepare EVP on weekly basis for all meetings working with EA- direct EA on materials needed
Direct other staff as relates to EVPs communications, travel plans, social media strategy, third party strategy
Support EA to define & set opportunities needs around travel, speaking roles, agenda during travel
Partner with political team to determine political and outreach strategy
Meeting preparation and follow up
Review and edit internal and external communications, social media posts, speeches working with communications team
Develop town hall agendas
Create ad hoc presentations and speeches
Implement systems and processes to streamline operations
Partner with head of data and analytics/ operations to determine/gather and prepare metrics, reports and inputs for scorecards and adjust as circumstances warrant
Assist in managing People needs- drafting and posting JD's
Support in managing 3rd party groups and reporting on KPI's
Assist in managing outside vendor and consultant KPI's
At least 4+ years of project management experience and or Corporate Affairs experience
BA/BS in related field or equivalent experience
Strong experience of managing and executing Public Affairs for a global organization
Exceptional Organizational Skills/People Skills
Excellent writing and communications skills
Proactive, tactical and creative in crafting strategy
Minimum viable product of operational support
Committed to the EVP's needs and serves as the trusted thought partner and advisor to the EVP
Availability for some travel required with EVP
Knowledge of the financial markets and strong desire to keep learning
