Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director -Supply Chain Data Analytics & Reporting.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for capturing and reporting all financial information regarding the Supply Chain division over-all operational expenses to include monthly report validation on salary and non-salary expenses. Provides highlight reports documenting expenses that exceed budget for salary & non-salary & provides insight on where there are opportunities to bring certain operational expenses back within budget. This position will prepare the annual division operational budget for new budget year working with the various directors of Supply Chain and the Vice-President of Supply Chain. Another important aspect of this position is to help create supply chain data on cost saving initiatives, gathering bench mark data on the cost of supplies, saving opportunities, working with sourcing leaders and buyers highlighting the bench marking data to ensure pricing issues and bench mark data is acted upon to the full advantage of NYULMC. This position will work with the Finance department to gather monthly financial reports on supply usage, supply cost and other data as required.

Provides cost saving opportunity to standardization committee as part of the evaluation process so the committee will be aware of cost and/or saving opportunity of one product over another as part of their decision process.
Prepares monthly data statistic for the Corporate V/P to report out to the executive leadership on a monthly basis.
Obtain bench mark data from UHC/Novation & compare data to NYU Langone Medical Center actual data.
Works with the Finance department to extract financial data on supply cost & utilization by procedure, discharge, patient's days and other bench mark data as determine and implemented.
Keeper & over-site of all Supply Chain data for monthly reporting purposes and analysis.
Works with A/P to ensure appropriate credits are taken in a timely manner and to ensure where there are hang ups in invoice matching and potential credit holds, this position will be the liaison between the vendor, A/P and Supply Chain to ensure a quick resolution to the credit hold.
Ensure that cost saving data is timely, informative & accurate.
Develop and implement monthly reports that document cost saving initiatives, creating graphs and other reporting tools that easily report outcomes & opportunities.
Provide monthly detail department reports which highlights actual cost vs. Budget. Recommending where budgetary issues exist for purpose of correcting issue.
Creates and maintains reporting request protocol for sourcing and purchasing related information.
Standardizes and maintains various reporting tools for SCM and provides guidance on when and how to use them.
Excellent background in accounting and financial procedures. Excellent computer skills and the ability to create management reports on savings & bench marking data. Must be able to create excellent graphs and other computer related reports to report out the outcomes of initiatives and projects. Good communicator in providing written comments on how to improve on performance when necessary and detailing where outliers exist. Work well with an array of staff to help them understand the issues around their impact on cost saving, keeping current with PeopleSoft and how to improve on functions for A/P & purchasing to improve on the purchase to pay functions. Prefer experience in supply chain operations and familiar with various type of bench marking data collection, initiatives reporting and keeping reports on departmental finances
BS in business or finance. Prefer Healthcare experience of at least 2 to 3 years or a related business where data and financial reporting was main aspect of the job. Involvement in a professional societies where one can take advantages of the latest data collection and reporting mechanism
