Responsible for the development of the processes, tools and techniques used to govern and manage software supplier Quality throughout the product lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish software quality processes, practices and standards for managing software suppliers.
Provide quality oversight for multiple software suppliers, including audits of supplier deliverables to ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards.
Develop effective communication methods and collaborative partnerships with software suppliers.
Collaborate with Sourcing to establish and maintain a Software Supplier Quality Scorecard.
Analyze software supplier data and establish continuous improvement strategies.
Manage communications of software supplier issues (internally and externally) and drive Corrective Action and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as needed.
Assure alignment of SW supplier processes with evolving standards and industry best practices.
Promote the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques at Suppliers to help them reduce variability and achieve process control.
Participate in reviews of software supplier improvement activities, such as: FMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, Process flow diagram, etc.
Perform periodic audits of Software Supplier Quality Systems to assure conformance to the quality system requirements.
