Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery is currently seeking candidates for a Transplant Surgery clinical faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate.
Responsibilities will include participation in both the academic and research missions of the Tulane Department of Surgery. In addition to clinical duties at Tulane University Medical Center and New Orleans Children’s Hospital, it is incumbent to have a strong interest and active participation in the education of residents and medical students. The candidate is expected to participate in developing and expanding academic, clinical and basic research activities devoted to the surgical evaluation and management of oncologic surgery.

ABS Board Certified in General Surgery or equivalent
ASTS Approved two year Transplantation Fellowship or equivalent
Eligible to obtain Louisiana Medical License
Experience in laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy is required
Experience in living donor liver transplantation in highly preferred
Teaching residents and medical students
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at Tulane University
