Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes nine primary care sites, 33 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor.
In this role, the successful candidate Hires, Supervises and evaluates dental assistants
Kronos timekeeper for all dental sites.
Compliance with hospital, health center and department policies and procedures
Monitor dental in-house laboratory for compliance with DOH, JCAHO and EPA standards.
Maintain Laboratory Prosthodontists log to ensure all lab cases are logged in and out.
Participate in the recruitment, hiring and evaluation of dental assistant staff.
Create and maintain weekly and daily assistant schedule to ensure proper coverage for all clinic sessions.
Maintain logs of infection control, biological testing, lead apron inspection, x-ray unit inspection, eyewash station, and sterilization.
Order, maintain and inventory dental equipment and supplies using the on-line PMM ordering system as well as the manual ordering/inventory system.
Supervise, evaluate and train Dental Assistants (includes annual competencies in radiographic and laboratory techniques).
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma 5 years dental assistant experience
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
