Bullis School seeks an energetic and knowledgeable candidate to serve as a Substitute Health Office Nurse, in the absence of the regular Health Office Nurse. The substitute nurse identifies and treats student (ranging from K-12th grade) and staff health concerns and refers to appropriate resources, as needed. The ideal candidate has flexibility for advanced scheduling, same-day requests and two weeks during the summer (July/August).
The Substitute Health Office Nurse is responsible for:
Administers first aid for injury and illness.
Administers medications and health care treatments.
Provides and coordinates health care interventions, including emergency responses.
Coordinates all health matters between the health care provider, family, and the school.
Maintains school health records.
Promotes a safe and healthy school environment.
Provides health counseling and health education.

Required: Valid Nursing License issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing
Current valid CPR certification
Prior nursing experience dealing with young children and adolescents
Ability to lift of move boxes up to 25 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to comply with all school regulations and policies
