The Abraham Joshua Heschel School, located in New York City, is an independent Jewish school, N-12, unaffiliated with any single movement or synagogue.  The school's approach to education is governed by profound respect for children. We are seeking Lower School (Grades 1-5) teaching professionals for the 2019-20 school year.

 General Studies Head Teacher (Grades 1-5):

• Master’s degree required
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as a head teacher

 Judaic Studies Head Teacher (Grades 1-5):

• Master’s degree required
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as a head teacher
• Proficient in Hebrew

 Assistant Teacher (Grades 1-2):

• Hebrew and Judaic Studies knowledge preferred but not required

 Candidates should be comfortable differentiating instruction, have experience integrating technology in classroom learning, and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. Responsive Classroom training beneficial but not required.
