The Role: Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the alternative investment product range.
Ensure the alternative products conform to internal requirements and market regulation, whilst maintaining a balance of profitability and client outcomes.
Perform market analysis, competitor and product research relating to existing products.
Oversight of the outsourced fund registration process for marketing purposes.
On-going review of existing products - identify threats/opportunities and enhancements to product range.
Define strategy, specifications and implementation requirements.
Track regulatory developments and their potential impact on the alternative products. Contribute to regulatory change projects.
Plan, track and execute strategic recommendations that may include fee or operational changes, through to mergers and closures.
Analyse the tax / regulatory landscape from a fund, client and investment perspective; analyse impact on product range and lead development / changes.
Establish global best practice for products from a technical and governance perspective.
Accountable for the planning, co-ordination, product related content (alongside the Product Lawyer) and approvals of fund prospectuses and client communications.
Ability to demonstrate significant previous alternative investment product management experience at an established asset manager.
Self-starter, who takes ownership, works with minimal supervision and can deliver the right solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to communicate with impact.
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple complex initiatives (at different levels of granularity).
Independent thinker who has an enquiring mindset.
A track record of building and maintaining an excellent network of relationships across different levels of seniority both inside the firm and externally.
Educated to degree level.
