RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking an individual with an advanced economics and data-analysis background to join the Global Markets Institute (GMI) within GIR. GMI is the public-policy and corporate advisory research team for the firm. In this role, you will work closely with senior members of the research team and will focus on producing a range of robust, high-quality economic and statistical analyses that will serve as the baseline for the team's publications.
Background knowledge of economics a must
Coursework or related experience in data science, statistics and/or econometrics
Experience working with and analyzing large datasets is required (e.g. US Census Bureau microdata, etc.)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Capable of distilling complex data analysis - methodology and findings - into simple terms
Self-starter with high attention to detail
Skilled at working autonomously and as part of a team
Able to meet aggressive deadlines
Masters or PhD in economics preferred
