Overall responsibility for all athletic facilities and equipment.
Keep accurate inventory and secure all athletic supplies and equipment – ensure replacement of equipment as needed and charges for damage.
Oversee all fields, courts, and athletic buildings to ensure they are ready for competitions and safe practices.
Be capable of emergency action: including: cleaning of floors or spaces including bathrooms, mowing, lining fields, small plumbing or machine repairs as required.
Ensure conflict free schedules for facilities and fields including for rentals.
Coach 1 large and 2 small sports per year.
Staff supervision for the gymnasium on weekends in conjunction with other coaches, rentals and the commandant.
Call-in for help from maintenance as needed for repairs.
Ensure security of gym and campus athletic storage buildings – review cameras at gym or other areas when needed.
Help monitor attendance of Cadets at sports and monitor various eligibility lists.
Additional Responsibilities To Support Athletic Director
Assist in identifying and interviewing coaches.
Help define regular maintenance schedule of cleaning/landscaping staff and specifications.
Supervise Cadets using athletic facilities when present.
Schedule and supervise open gym when necessary.
Support summer and special sports program.
Assist in recruitment of sports-oriented cadets where possible.
Assist students in planning a transition to college where possible.
Help acquire/purchase equipment and supplies as possible.
Help oversee dinner when present.
Help oversee sports study hall when available and to in other ways ensure athletic eligibility.
Previous employment as a coach of adolescents.
Documented employment maintaining sports fields and facilities.
Previous experience at a private or boarding school a plus.
