This position is responsible for providing the primary project management support in building, deploying, and improving OHSU\u2019s Quality Management System (QMS) to support the achievement and maintenance of our ISO 9001 certification.
Working closely with the Quality Management Director, the QMS Consultant, and the QMS Governance Committees, the Project Manager performs current state assessments, gap analyses, risk analyses, and requirements documentation to create both the strategic and tactical work plans to achieve ISO certification by 2021. Areas of initial focus will include: QMS Governance, establishing our internal audit system, establishing our contract review system, establishing our document and record control system, developing our quality policy and communication plan, and standardizing our nonconformance and corrective action process. The Project Manager has the responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and delivering project activities through the entire project life cycle. The position leads highly matrixed multi-disciplinary teams that span multiple departments throughout the healthcare enterprise.
The position must effectively understand team dynamics and tailor the work and change management approaches to foster teamwork and ensure follow-up and shared accountability. The Project Manager will independently lead problem solving and decision making activities, within the scope of the identified projects. The Project Manager will design and guide the change management process, taking reasonable and prudent actions to accomplish agreed upon project objectives and intended outcomes.
