Job Title: Quality Technical Leader for U by Kotex and Poise Location: Neenah, WI Reports to: Kimberly-Clark North America Supply Chain Quality Senior Director Position Purpose: - Provides high level Design to In-Market (RFT Make, RFT Move and RFT Sell) quality & regulatory compliance technical leadership of a platform of U by Kotex and POISE brands (tampons, pessary, pads & liners).
- Act as the primary technical quality point of contact to manufacturing facilities, businesses, cross-functional staff teams, or cross-functional corporate support teams to drive implementation of business/product supply chain/quality A3 strategy, objectives, plans, and projects related to KCNA Brand quality assurance.
- Has FEI to In-Market (RFT Make, RFT Move and RFT Sell) awareness of quality issues impacting the KCNA Brand platform/s and accountability to request support as needed from the broader cross-functional KCNA Quality Management System team.
Customers: Manufacturing Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Research & Engineering, Packaging, Planning, Procurement, Distribution & Logistics, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Contract Manufacturers & Raw Materials Suppliers (Internal & External), Consumer Services, Market Research, External Consultants, External Regulatory Agencies & Registrars, K-C Supply Chain, Global Quality Council & Corporate Quality Assurance, and Product Supply. - Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both Kimberly-Clark’s quality assurance standards (Corporate K-C QMS Requirements) and applicable government regulations or international standards requirements such as FDA/Health Canada GMPs, CPSC, or ISO requirements.
- Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, acceptance sampling, and statistical process control procedures are followed as applicable.
- Performs production and quality systems audits.
- Maintain and demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and skill in product forms, quality systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain good customer rapport while driving solutions to meet business needs. Develop and maintain a strong spirit of partnership and customer focus.
- Conduct all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity. Communicate fully with superiors, teammates, and others who have a need to know.
- Executes continuous improvement activities for established processes and initiates/supports development of new processes.
- Builds and maintains capability in Quality Management System (QMS) requirements to support objectives.
Position Specific Accountabilities: - Assigned as the primary quality decision-making technical leader to a designated group or platform of common KCNA Brands and act as the primary technical quality contact for the manufacturing mills, R&E LCM and D&C teams.
- Provide technical quality leadership support to mills and project teams working within the Brand platform including leading or supporting change control, design controls, process or computer system validation, assets based scorecard, and statistical acceptance sampling, as needed.
- Support Brand quality implementation projects via the Quality A3 objectives and impacted KC- Enterprise Quality initiatives & K-C Supply Chain RFT Quality Metrics of RFT Make, Move, and Sell.
- Initiates and follows up on CAPA/s and QNC/s for the Brand platform.
- Lead Board 2 Non-Conformance disposition as applicable for the Brand platform.
- Triage quality events or crisis prevention & management of product quality issues for the Brand platform.
- Identifies need for, develops, and executes continuous improvement quality plans within the Brand platform.
- Builds and maintains technical capability within the Brand platform for compliance with QMS’s including the development of new quality standards and quality systems to meet both regulatory compliance and business objectives.
- Engaged as the quality point of contact from BFI through LCM of the IMF process.
- Support new Brand product launches or start-ups.
Scope: - This position reports to KCNA Supply Chain Quality Senior Director.
- Has responsibility for coordinating identified quality improvement projects, day-to-day support needs, and key quality metric reporting for the assigned KCNA Brand platform - U by Kotex & POISE.
- Leads or assist moderate to large sized (complicated) projects.
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction, but requests project and system support as required by the demands of the KCNA Brand platform.
