Overview of the Role The role of Client Services Associate is primarily focussed on the investment performance reporting requirements of our clients within the River and Mercantile Solutions business. The main responsibility undertaken is the production of periodic investment governance reports for our Defined Benefit Pension Scheme clients within the Fiduciary Management section of Solutions. Overview of the Company River and Mercantile Group PLC (R&M) is a Solutions and Asset Management business with a broad range of services. This role will be working under the Solutions division which provides Advisory and Fiduciary services to a large client base predominantly in the UK, primarily institutional pension schemes, both DC and DB and insurance firms. Good team worker, the role requires collaborative working within the team which is crucial when working towards deadlines. Attention to detail – a thorough and methodical approach is important to ensure correct data and information is provided to clients and third parties. Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written –Client Services deals directly with most teams in the business as well as clients and third parties so being able to build relationships with these parties is a crucial part of the role. Key responsibilities Maintain high quality of service through producing client performance reporting; Develop product knowledge of fiduciary management and other business areas; Have the ability to solve investment related queries and problems; Broaden knowledge and interest in the financial sectors and markets; Provide explanations of clients' investment returns in the context of their actuarial requirements; Carry out analytical and research work where required to support consultants; Respond to ad-hoc requests and answer queries; To be aware of and adhere to Compliance procedures and requirements in respect of the following: confidentiality, data protection, anti-money laundering procedures, TCF, conflicts of interest. This role will provide exposure to all of these areas, although it is expected that employees will specialise to some degree with time and experience. We are looking for strong candidates that have the potential to progress and undertake further responsibilities. Knowledge and Experience Educated to a minimum of a 2.1 honours degree in a numerical, finance or economics based subject as well as having some experience within a financial company for over two years. We would also consider recent graduates. High level of computer literacy, in particular Excel and specialised software (hands on experience of wealth management software particularly beneficial).
