The Manager, Foundation and Corporate Relationships will be responsible for a breadth of grant-related activities including foundation research, managing and developing grant submission timelines, drafting and submitting proposals, and writing grant reports.
This position will work closely with program area staff to secure information related to the development and submission of grants and monitoring and reporting on program activities related to grant proposals funded by foundations, corporations and the Jewish United Fund. The position will also work closely with the Finance Department to develop grant budgets. Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Manager of Foundation and Corporate Relationships will increase the capacity of JCC Chicago to secure grant funding from private, corporate and government funders.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Non-Profit Management or related degree and/or related job experience preferred.
2+ years of grant research, writing and grant management experience required.
Successful management of simultaneous multiple projects and constituents.
Strategic thinking, ability to deploy innovative approaches and solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedication to agency mission and vision.
Ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines and work autonomously;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or another donor database a plus.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, efficient and dynamic self-starter who is flexible and can thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the Chicago Jewish community and passion for community programming highly desirable.
