Our experienced analysts provide comprehensive, timely and transparent coverage of every major institution around the world, as well as unparalleled coverage of smaller companies. Our analysts are drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds, with experience in regulatory oversight, equity analysis, accounting, investment and asset management and more.  Within the FI Group, the Central Functions & Research team supports Fitch’s rating analysts by providing centralised support, research, and analysis. A current focus of the team is on opportunities to use technology to automate and streamline the ratings process to reduce the manual burden on rating analysts and to maximize data integrity and quality.  Job Description: Junior Developer  The CF&R team collectively combines a broad ranges of complimentary technical skills such as: statistical and quantitative modelling, econometrics and financial risk analysis, data visualisation and UI design, programming (R, VBA, Python), data warehousing and extraction, report generation, validation and testing, and workflow and process automation. We are looking for a junior developer to join our team and be responsible for: Â
 The job requires a broad mix of programming and database skills and will be predominately based around Excel/VBA, and will regularly involve working with R and SQL/NoSQL databases and various internal and external APIs and web services.  You will need to contribute to many parts of the product life-cycle, from idea generation and prototyping to writing production code and product support, and at any given point in time you will be working on multiple projects and a pipeline of deliverables.  Overall, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in an exciting team within Fitch’s Financial Institutions Group.
