Your role Do you have sharp analytic skills, investigations experience, high integrity and enjoy working in a team of highly skilled experts? For our Americas regional investigation team, we are looking for someone like this to:
investigate cases assigned to the group, including whistleblowing cases
participate in cross-functional investigation teams for larger investigations
prepare investigation and whistleblowing closing reports
analyze the portfolio of investigations in the region
support the regional investigation head in overseeing the investigation portfolio and stakeholder interaction
identify opportunities for work process efficiencies and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
conduct research, data analysis, and create reports
partner with various internal UBS teams (e.g., audit, data analytics) around the world and provide input on audit observations
Your team Group Investigations has been newly established as a group-wide competence center for investigations, defining the framework for investigations across UBS, conducting key investigations, providing eDiscovery counseling and data analytics for its own investigations and those undertaken by other functions and delivering comprehensive reporting to the governance bodies, e.g. GEB and BoD. Group Investigations will have its own investigation teams in Zurich, London, New York and Hong Kong, comprising multi-disciplinary skills and expertise typically found in professional services firms and in-house audit, legal and information technology departments. As part of this build-up, we just started our recruiting process to build high-performing investigation teams in these locations. Our aim is to attract talents who want to leverage their skills and experience whilst also being keen to learn from colleagues and contribute to the success of our function.
We aim at providing effective investigative work by efficiently deploying the firm's subject matter experts' knowledge and providing state-of-the-art infrastructure. We ensure a coherent framework for and reporting over individual cases and the overall portfolio and work with all stakeholders to appropriately position investigation results and embed lessons learned. As a multidisciplinary team we analyse topics under various aspects, including assessment of business processes, control framework and behavior.
Your expertise You have:
relevant hands-on investigation experience from a position at a regulator, government agency, financial services firm (including legal, compliance, audit or other functions), law or accounting/forensic firm, or a consulting firm
experience in assessing control frameworks and behavior
strong case management skills
experience conducting interviews in connection with investigations-Forensic data analytics experience a plus
strong analytical skills
preferred 3+ years of investigative experience; ideally in the financial services industry
strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to interact and work with people from different business areas, functions, locations and cultures at all levels
advanced degree and/or FSI certifications preferred but not required You are:
highly organized and detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize a constantly evolving case-load
able to clearly, cohesively and concisely communicate complex fact patterns and concepts in both written and oral format; including to senior stakeholders.
known for your ability to learn quickly and apply good judgment– able to work independently and within compressed timeframes while being collaborative and supportive of your team and maintaining quality.
