Position: Blackboard seeks a Corporate Counsel to join the Company’s dynamic and highly experienced legal team. Blackboard’s legal team works closely with business units across the Company in support of global business operations, including commercial relationships, strategic initiatives, risk management, and compliance functions. This attorney will work across functional areas and will be responsible for supporting the team in a wide range of commercial, transactional, and regulatory matters. The Corporate Counsel will drive M&A processes, lead real estate negotiations, and assist with corporate finance matters.  He/she will work with cross functional teams on sales, marketing and business development, and liaise with Tax, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments.  The Corporate Counsel will also handle other duties as needed, and advise on issues such as IP, data privacy, education and financial services laws. 

Experience: 2+ years’ relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house with a corporate law background.
